The main Den callouts are Lobby (also called Couches), Red (Server) with Top Window above it, Broken, Mid Cut, Tin (also called Hut), Dojo, Patio, Dragon, Lockers, Gens, Sat and the Roofs. Den Hardpoint has four hills in a fixed order. P1 is on the statue in the middle of the map. P2 is the room on the east side, just south of Garage. P3 is on the west side, in front of Tin. P4 is Tree, on the south-east deck next to the pillared hall. After P4 it goes back to P1. In Search and Destroy (SnD), A is on the east side between Small and the Roofs, deep on the defenders' side. B is in front of Tin, where P3 is. Overload has two goals at each end.
Den callout map

North is the Tank spawn (Driveway on the in-game map). Think of the map in bands:
- North: the spawn around Tank, with Ammo and Sat. Art and Gens are in the north-west corner.
- Center: mid, with the statue on P1. Lobby is on its north side, with Broken next to it. Red, with Top Window over it, is on the south side. Mid Cut runs west to P3.
- East: Garage, then P2, the Roofs, A Bomb and Tree (P4), from north to south. Wall jumps get you across the collapsed Roofs.
- West: Lockers and Pipes, then P3 with Tin, then the Dojo.
- South: the spawn in the pillared hall (Throne on the in-game map). Dragon is at its front, and Patio sits between the hall and the Dojo.

What is Den in Black Ops 7?
Den is a new map that launched with Black Ops 7 on November 14, 2025, so there are no older callouts to unlearn. JSOC storms a feudal castle in Japan that the Guild has turned into a tech fortress. A big courtyard sits in the middle, with paths to the spawns at each end and to P3 on the west side. Expect close fights in the Dojo, and use wall jumps to cross the collapsed Roofs.
Is Den in BO7 Ranked Play?
Yes. Den was in all three Ranked modes: Hardpoint, SnD and Overload. BO7 Ranked Play has ended. Season 06 was the last season.
Den in the CDL
Den was a CDL map in all three modes from the opening map set on November 25, 2025. The CDL's latest competitive settings still list it for Hardpoint, SnD and Overload.
Den Hardpoint hills and rotation
Hill order
| Hill | Name | Where |
|---|---|---|
| P1 | Statue | The raised platform around the statue in mid, between Lobby and Red |
| P2 | East side, by Garage | The P2 room on the east side, between Garage and the Roofs |
| P3 | West side, by Tin | The open pad in front of Tin, through Mid Cut from mid |
| P4 | Tree | The deck around Tree on the south-east side, next to Dragon and the pillared hall |
After P4 it goes back to P1.
When to rotate on Den
Leave for the next hill with about 15 to 20 seconds left, and set up before it goes live. In the CDL, the teams that rotate early do best on Den. Under the CDL rules, the next hill only shows 10 seconds before it goes live, and the order never changes. For more on rotating, see Hardpoint rotations.
P1: the half wall is the 50-yard line
- Spawns flip side to side. Cross the half wall in mid on one side, and the enemy spawns on the other. If nobody holds Top Window, Top Broken or Lobby, expect a 50/50 flip. Whoever spawns first after a flip calls it right away.
- Don't flip a good start. Got four down off the break? Keep the spawns where they are. Pushing into the couches can flip players behind you.
- Hold the bottom Red pinch. Enemies on the P2 side flank into bottom Red. From Top Window, drop down and hold that pinch from the Desk.
- End P1 with a triangle. Late in the hill, push one player out toward the Roofs and keep one back in Broken. The enemy then takes Patio, the farthest spawn from P2.
P2: funnel them from one side
- Send them far away. P2 spawns follow which side of the hill your team holds. Block the back spawns on the Ammo side and push one player hard toward the Roofs. The enemy then spawns at the emergency spawn behind Dragon, a long way from P2.
- Don't force the back. You can hold P2 from either side. Fight for the back spawns after a full wave of kills, not before. Holding from the back and getting kills? Bump one player out the front, so they spawn deeper and have to come through the couches.
P3: hold the Dojo side
- Set up for P4. Hold the Dojo side of P3, since P4 is next and it's on that side. The Patio spawn is close to P4.
- Run a line setup. Spread out in a line through the hill. The last player in line holds the flank.
- Rotating to P4 through mid from the Lockers side? The enemy can still spawn at Patio unless you're right on top of it. Check your minimap for a Patio spawner.
P4: earn the close spawns
- Take the Roof route. The first player to spawn takes the long route over the Roofs. The player on the hill plays Tree and watches the Window.
- Push out the back only after a full wave. The back spawns, at Pillars and then Patio, are the close ones for P4. But if you push through P4 while teammates are still back toward P2, the enemy flips behind you to Sat.

Den Search sites
Where A and B are
A is on the east side, between Small and the Roofs, just north of P4. It sits deep on the defenders' side, so attackers reach it by flanking or by rotating through the defenders' spawn. B is in front of Tin, on the west side, at P3. Attackers start in the north spawn, by Tank, and defenders in the south, by Pillars. For bomb timers, defuse math and opening duels, see SnD tips.
Defending A: shoulder both ways
From A Bomb, shoulder left and right, strafing quickly out and back. Left shows you anyone crossing into Inner. Right shows anyone crossing to Outer.
Plant for the side they're not on
In a late 1v1, plant for the side the enemy isn't on. At B, that can mean planting for the Dojo when you know they're toward mid. Keep your back to cover, and check long lines of sight between bomb checks.
B post-plant spots
- Tin's top window. From inside Tin, double wall bounce to see out the big top window. It shows anyone pushing mid. Use it for info, then slide out to take the fight.
- The benches. No Dojo control? Stand on the benches and hold the right side toward the Dojo. Players working the front headglitch don't check that close.
How RankKD helps: RankKD shows where you died first in each Den SnD round, on a death heatmap grouped by callout.
Den Overload
Goals and device spawns
Each side has two goals, A and B, lettered in game. On the north side, A is by Sat and Ammo, and B is by Gens and Art, past Short. On the south side, A is at Back Dojo, by Patio, and B is in the doorway from the pillared hall onto the P4 deck, by Tree. The device spawns on P1 first, then on P3, then on Inner Roofs, and each new round starts again at P1. For the rules, see the Overload guide.
Score at the easier goal
On the north side, attack B, by Gens and Art. Defenders can only reach it through tight routes like Short, Art and Gens, while A, by Sat, is wide open to their spawns. CDL teams score more often at B there. The south side is the other way round: CDL teams score more often at A, by Back Dojo. If you go for B there, get players onto P4 first. The defenders then spawn out in the Dojo, far from it.
Earn the score twice
Keep at least three players in the device's lane. The last player off spawn watches mid and the pinch. Four kills at mid usually isn't enough on Den. Expect to win another wave at the enemy's 25-yard line before you score.
Rotate to the next device
Play the device spawns like Hardpoint hills, and move before the next one pops. Don't push through P3 just before a device spawns on the Roofs side. That spawns the enemy at Garage, closer to it.
How RankKD maps your deaths on Den
Those are the mistakes Den punishes. RankKD shows you which ones you're making.
RankKD records every match on its own, so there's nothing to press. After the match, it reviews the footage and puts every kill and death on the timeline. On Den, that gives you:
- A death heatmap by callout. Your deaths grouped into named areas of the map, so "I keep dying on P1" becomes a specific spot you can fix.
- Spawn-flip deaths in Hardpoint. The deaths that came right after a spawn flip, hill by hill.
- Rotation timing. Whether you left for the next hill too early or too late.
- Early deaths in SnD. First deaths of a round, and deaths early in a round, called out round by round.
- Death discipline. Deaths while sprinting, reloading or re-peeking without info, fights you took while already hurt, and deaths right after your own kill.
- Receipts. After each match, RankKD writes a coach's note. Every mistake in it links to the exact moment in the video, with your mouse, keyboard or controller inputs on screen.
- Map stats. How you do on each map and mode, and your worst map and why, compared with your rank and the rank above.
Example (illustrative, not real data): say RankKD flags a run of spawn-flip deaths on P1. That's the classic Den mistake: someone crossed the half wall in mid, and the enemy spawned behind your team. Each of those deaths links to its clip.
RankKD analyzes your match after it ends, never while you play. No overlays, no assists, no live info, no mods and no in-game presence (read the full disclosure). RankKD supports Black Ops 7 and Modern Warfare 4 when it launches, including MW4 Ranked Play from the day it goes live. More on RankKD: how it works, VOD review, Call of Duty coaching and how to VOD review CoD.
RankKD runs on Windows PC. It shows you where and why you die on Den, after the match and never while you play. No overlays, no assists, no live info. Download RankKD.
