The main Vertigo callouts in BO7 are Mid, Heli, Dojo, Courtyard, White, Dark, Bridge, Office, Plat and Vent Spawn. Vertigo Hardpoint has four hills in a fixed order. P1 is at the north end of Mid, the big central room. P2 is on the west side of the helipad, just outside Dojo. P3 is the Waterfall, in the north-west corner next to Boardroom. P4 is in front of Servers on the east side, with Plat on top. There's no P5, so after P4 it goes back to P1. In Search and Destroy (SnD), A is on the helipad near P2, and B is by the waterfall at P3. Attackers start in the east and defenders in the west. In Overload, each end of the map has two goals.
Vertigo callout map

North is the Bridge side. Think of the map in bands:
- North: the Bridge, White and Outer. P3, the Waterfall, is in the north-west corner next to Boardroom.
- Center: Mid, the big room with a drone on display over the chasm. P1 is at its north end. Mid Cut runs south from it to the helipad.
- South: the helipad, called Heli. P2 is on its west side. Each side has a Crate and a Block head glitch, and the three Grey head glitches sit in the middle.
- West: Courtyard, with the Tree, Boardroom, Dojo and Back Dojo. It's a spawn side, and SnD defenders start here.
- East: Vent Spawn and Storage, with Servers, Boiler and the Vents. P4 is in front of Servers. SnD attackers start here.

What is Vertigo in Black Ops 7?
Vertigo is a remaster of the Black Ops 2 map from the Uprising map pack. Black Ops 7 moves it from Mumbai to a Guild megastructure high above Japan. It came to BO7 in Season 04, in June 2026. The edges are lined with glass, with a long drop behind it. The middle is the big room with the drone on display. Paths branch off on every side, and there's height everywhere. Heli is the old helipad. There's no helicopter on it now, but the name stuck.
Is Vertigo in BO7 Ranked Play?
Vertigo was in the Ranked Hardpoint, SnD and Overload pools from Season 05, which began on July 23, 2026. It was new to Ranked that season. It was never a CDL map. BO7 Ranked Play has ended. Season 06 was the last season.
Vertigo Hardpoint hills and rotation
Hill order
| Hill | Name | Where |
|---|---|---|
| P1 | North end of Mid | Between Dark, the Bridge, Office and Art |
| P2 | Outside Dojo | The west side of the helipad, by the Crate and Block head glitches |
| P3 | Waterfall | The north-west corner, by the waterfall next to Boardroom |
| P4 | In front of Servers | The east side, with Plat on top |
After P4 it goes back to P1.
When to rotate on Vertigo
In one coach's Vertigo spawn guide, one rule runs every hill: the enemy spawns on the side where your team has the least pressure. The east end, around Vent Spawn and Storage, is far from the first three hills. That's where you want the enemy spawning on P1, P2 and P3. On P1, work toward the west spawns. That's the side you want for P2 and P3. On P3, stop playing for spawns with 15 to 20 seconds left and set up P4. Lost P3? Rotate to P4 early. For more on rotating, see Hardpoint rotations.
P1: play for Mid, not spawns
P1 is a bang-out. Play for control around Mid more than for spawns. The ways in are Dark, the Bridge, Office and Art.
- Keep someone back. If three of you push past P1 and only one stays back, expect a flip. Keep one player as far back as your furthest player is forward.
- Send them to Vents. Keep one player back around Courtyard. Push the rest past P1: over the Bridge, along East Mid or toward Bottom Heli. The enemy spawns out at Vent Spawn, far from P1 and P2.
- Play your trades. One AR holding across the hill helps. The rest can run SMGs and fight for time. Spawning on the east side? With three or four of them dead, push through and take the west spawns.
P2: push in stages
P2 is a hill you can stack a lot of time on. It has plenty of boxes and head glitches to play behind.
- Coming from Courtyard. Stay behind Dojo and they spawn right by the hill. Push through Dojo or Vines onto P2, and they spawn further out. Push past Heli with one player blocking from Courtyard, and they spawn at Vents, far from P2 and P3.
- Never push past Heli without a blocker. The spawns flip.
- From the east, take Heli. Pressure on Heli stops their close spawn by Dojo, so they spawn back in Courtyard by the Tree. Bottom Heli is better than Top, since you're seen less.
- Breaking it? Don't keep flooding the front. Work through Mid and hit the back to kill their blocker.
P3: own Hop Up, break through the back
- Hold it four ways. Put one player on Hop Up, a nasty head glitch that covers the side and the front. Put one on the front box, one on time and one in the back, blocking and watching the flank.
- Block, then push through White. Block the back Courtyard and back Dojo spawns from the steps above Boardroom or from the Tree. Then pressure through White. They spawn in Office or Storage instead of just across the Bridge.
- Break it through the room. From the far side there are only two ways in: the room and the narrow outer path. Go through the room and kill the player in the back. That forces the head glitch players to move.
P4: block Vents and Top Heli
- Block their Vent spawn. Stay back in Vent Spawn or back Vents. That blocks it, and you can watch the pinch from there.
- Block Top Heli. Plat, or the Block and Crate on the P4 side of the helipad, blocks the Top Heli spawn and sends them to Dojo.
- Don't push past Heli. That blocks Dojo too, and they can get an emergency spawn by Storage, on your side.
- Put an AR up top. From Plat or the boxes, it catches players rotating in.

Vertigo Search sites
Where A and B are
A is on the south side, on the west half of the helipad, right next to P2. It sits between the Block head glitch and the Grey head glitches. B is in the north-west, in the P3 area just past the waterfall, east of Boardroom. Attackers spawn in the east at Vent Spawn. Defenders spawn in the west, in Courtyard by the Tree. That puts defenders closer to B. From their spawn, B is roughly 40 meters away and A roughly 60.
For bomb timers, defuse math and opening duels, see SnD tips.
How RankKD helps: RankKD shows where you died first in each Vertigo SnD round, on a death heatmap grouped by callout.
Vertigo Overload
Where the goals are
Vertigo has four Overload goals, two at each end of the map. Each end has an A and a B, lettered in game. In the west, A is at Back Dojo and B is at the west end of Boardroom, by Steps. In the east, A is at P4, in front of Servers under Plat, and B is in Storage, in the north-east corner. You score by carrying the device into one of the two goals at the enemy's end. For the rules, roles and device timers, see the Overload guide.
Fight for Mid presence. When three of them are down, push into their end and move their spawn.
How RankKD maps your deaths on Vertigo
Every hill above has a mistake Vertigo punishes. RankKD shows you which ones you're making.
RankKD records every match on its own, so there's nothing to press. After the match, it reviews the footage and puts every kill and death on the timeline. On Vertigo, that gives you:
- A death heatmap by callout. Your deaths grouped into named areas of the map, so "I keep dying on P1" becomes a specific spot you can fix.
- Spawn-flip deaths in Hardpoint. The deaths that came right after a spawn flip, hill by hill.
- Rotation timing. Whether you left for the next hill too early or too late.
- Early deaths in SnD. First deaths of a round, and deaths early in a round, called out round by round.
- Death discipline. Deaths while sprinting, reloading or re-peeking without info, fights you took while already hurt, and deaths right after your own kill.
- Receipts. After each match, RankKD writes a coach's note. Every mistake in it links to the exact moment in the video, with your mouse, keyboard or controller inputs on screen.
- Map stats. How you do on each map and mode, and your worst map and why, compared with your rank and the rank above.
Example (illustrative, not real data): say your heatmap flags Heli as a top death spot on P2. That's the classic P2 mistake. You pushed past Heli with nobody blocking, and the spawns flipped. Each of those deaths links to its clip.
RankKD analyzes your match after it ends, never while you play. No overlays, no assists, no live info, no mods and no in-game presence (read the full disclosure). RankKD supports Black Ops 7 and Modern Warfare 4 when it launches, including MW4 Ranked Play from the day it goes live.
