The main Fringe callouts in BO7 are Train, Top Barn, Rocks, Street, Bricks, Dubs, Grandma's, L, Tin and Junkyard. In BO7 Ranked and the CDL, Fringe was a Search and Destroy (SnD) map only. A is inside Bricks, the brick building on the south side of the Street. B is outside on the west side, at the ladder on the north wall of the Barn. Defenders spawn in the south-west by the Bridge. Attackers spawn in the north-east by the Globe.
Fringe callout map

North is the train side. Fringe plays as three sections, with the Barn in the middle of the west one and Grandma's House in the middle of the east one. Think of the map in bands:
- North: the Train lane, with the train cars, Small and Crash. It's the main route to B.
- West: the Barn, with Rocks behind it. B is on the Barn's north side, by the ladder.
- Center: the Street (the official Road), with a truck on each side. South of it is Bricks, the brick building that holds Dubs, the Bar and A.
- East: Grandma's house, the Silos and the Grass spawn.
- South: the Junkyard, the open yard between Bricks and Tin, plus Alley, Red Truck and the Bridge spawn.

What is Fringe in Black Ops 7?
Fringe is a Black Ops 3 map from 2015, remade for Black Ops 6 in 2025. It came to BO7 in Season 01 Reloaded on January 8, 2026. The BO7 version is the BO6 map, set at the opening of the Rolling Hills distillery, with Wall Jump spots added. Your BO6 map knowledge carries over. What changes is movement. Players now clear walls and fences they couldn't in BO6, so check high angles you used to treat as safe.
Is Fringe in BO7 Ranked Play?
Yes, in SnD only. Treyarch added Fringe to Ranked SnD in its Season 03 map evaluation, and it was still in the Season 05 pool. It was never in the Ranked Hardpoint or Overload pools. BO7 Ranked Play has ended. Season 06 was the last season.
Fringe in the CDL
Fringe SnD joined the CDL 2026 pool at Stage III on April 13, 2026, replacing Colossus and Exposure. It stayed through Champs in July. Watch the 2026 CDL broadcasts for Fringe SnD setups.

Where A and B are
A is inside Bricks, in the room east of the Bar and south of Dubs. In BO7 it's a gift shop. B is outdoors on the north side of the Barn, by the only ladder up into it. That's why some players call B "barn ladder". Defenders spawn in the south-west, by the Bridge, and hold the Barn and A. Attackers spawn in the north-east, by the Globe, and reach B along the Train lane.
Attack: hit B through Train
Most attacks go B. Expect a defender at Top Barn or the back Rock, and put utility on both before you cross Train. The standard hit is a 3-1 split: three players through Train with a smoke to block the cross, and one showing at A or mid. An early kill toward A pulls defenders over and opens Train. The fake works too. Show pressure at B, then swing A once the defense turns.
Rounds turn early on Fringe. Use the first 10 seconds for info, then commit off what the defense shows. Shoulder mid (strafe out and back at the corner to draw a look) and check Train. If nobody's holding it, push Train for first blood.
Defense: Top Barn, the back Rock and A
- Own B from the Barn. B defense lives at Top Barn or the back Rock. A sniper or a strong AR there controls Train and the walk to B.
- Set up 2-2. That's the common defense. Some teams put three toward A, or stack B.
- Take info at A, then fall back. A player can push forward into Tin or toward the Junkyard for early info. Alone out there, they get collapsed on. Fall back before the attack commits.
- Stay out of the window line. Attackers snipe into A from the L wall, through the building's window. Snipers are allowed in Ranked SnD, and on Fringe a sniper can keep the scope out all round.
Plants
Plant where a teammate can watch the bomb from cover. At A, plant on the window side and watch it from Tin Window or the Junkyard. At B, plant in the right-hand corner as you walk in, and hold from the Barn's outer corner or Top Red.
For bomb timers, defuse math and opening duels, see SnD tips.
How RankKD helps: RankKD shows where you died first in each Fringe SnD round, on a death heatmap grouped by callout.
How RankKD maps your deaths on Fringe
Those are the mistakes Fringe punishes. RankKD shows you which ones you're making.
RankKD records every match on its own, so there's nothing to press. After the match, it reviews the footage and puts every kill and death on the timeline. On Fringe, that gives you:
- A death heatmap by callout. Your deaths grouped into named areas of the map, so "I keep dying at B" becomes a specific spot you can fix.
- Early deaths in SnD. First deaths of a round, and deaths early in a round, called out round by round.
- Death discipline. Deaths while sprinting, reloading or re-peeking without info, fights you took while already hurt, and deaths right after your own kill.
- Receipts. After each match, RankKD writes a coach's note. Every mistake in it links to the exact moment in the video, with your mouse, keyboard or controller inputs on screen.
- Map stats. How you do on each map and mode, and your worst map and why, compared with your rank and the rank above.
Example (illustrative, not real data): say your heatmap flags Train as a top death spot on attack. That's the classic Fringe mistake, crossing Train before anyone has checked Top Barn and the back Rock. Each of those deaths links to its clip.
RankKD analyzes your match after it ends, never while you play. No overlays, no assists, no live info, no mods and no in-game presence (read the full disclosure). RankKD supports Black Ops 7 and Modern Warfare 4 when it launches, including MW4 Ranked Play from the day it goes live. More on RankKD: how it works, VOD review, Call of Duty coaching and how to VOD review CoD.
RankKD runs on Windows PC. It shows you where and why you die on Fringe, after the match and never while you play. No overlays, no assists, no live info. Download RankKD. Want to climb? Read how BO7 Ranked SR works and how to stop being hardstuck in BO7 Ranked.
