The main Exposure callouts in BO7 are Long, Short, Ring, Nest, Crate, Window, Zig, Dirt, Solar, Tank, Plat and 18. Hardpoint has five hills in a fixed order: P1 in the middle, P2 on the Tank to the north, P3 in the Server building to the east, P4 in the P4 building to the west and P5 on the south edge. Then it goes back to P1. In Search and Destroy (SnD), A is just east of the middle and B is in the north-east, by the east solar field. Overload has four goals, two at each end of the map.
Exposure callout map

The map runs west to east, from the Loading spawn to Gens. It's close to a mirror, so players say "our" and "their" for matching spots. Blue is the west half and Green is the east. Think of the map in bands:
- North: the Tank (P2) between two solar fields, P4 Solar and P3 Solar. Outer and Tarp are past the west field, and B Boxes past the east one.
- Center: P1, with Long to the north, a Short on each side, and the Nest and Crate to the south. Ring is to the west.
- East: P3, the Server building. It's the Control Room, the map's only interior, and Window looks over the middle. Plat, Gens and Vans are behind it.
- West: the P4 building and the Loading spawn, with the 18-wheeler.
- South: P5, with Bush and Dirt beside it and a Balc at each end.

What is Exposure in Black Ops 7?
Exposure is a medium-size BO7 launch map, out since November 14, 2025. It's set at a solar plant in the Australian Outback. Activision's BO7 map intel names three power spots that line up across the map: Window, the top of the Nest and Top Ring. Crate is a fourth.
Is Exposure in BO7 Ranked Play?
Yes. Exposure was in Ranked Hardpoint, SnD and Overload from the Season 02 launch. In the Season 03 pool it was in Overload only. Season 05 added it back to Hardpoint and SnD. At the end of July 2026, Treyarch pulled it from Ranked while it looked into an issue. Season 06 added it back. BO7 Ranked Play has ended. Season 06 was the last season.
Exposure in the CDL
Exposure was in the CDL 2026 launch pool for all three modes. At Stage III on April 13, 2026, the CDL dropped it from Hardpoint and SnD over a frame-rate issue. It stayed in Overload.
Exposure Hardpoint hills and rotation
Hill order
| Hill | Name | Where |
|---|---|---|
| P1 | Mid | The middle of the map, between Long and the Nest |
| P2 | Tank | The north edge, on the tank between the solar fields |
| P3 | Server | The east building, the Control Room |
| P4 | P4 building | The west side, in front of the P4 building by Ring |
| P5 | South | The south edge, below Crate, between Bush and Dirt |
After P5 it goes back to P1.
When to rotate on Exposure
Hold the P3-side spawns through P1 and P2, and both rotations stay short. P3 to P4 crosses the whole map. Die on the way and you respawn back at the old hill. P4 to P5 and P5 to P1 are short. More in Hardpoint rotations.
P1: keep the spawns fixed
- One back for every one forward. In one coach's spawn testing, pushing past halfway on P1 opens all eight spawns. The game then spawns the enemy wherever is furthest from your team, even behind you.
- Then take the P3 side. The east spawns set up P2 and P3. One player toward P4 cutting off Long, one on time watching P5, one in Short watching Mid Cut, one back in P3 watching Ring.
P2: don't be the first death
- Play your life. The enemy has lines on Top Solar and on anyone crossing. Once the spawn is set, keep stunning.
- The setup. Your last player to spawn blocks at Plat. One on time hops the tank to watch Mid Cut. An SMG pushes Inner and an AR plays Outer. The enemy spawns back at 18 and keeps hitting the front.
P3: block from Balc
- Spawn them out. Being in P3 blocks the Gens and Balc spawns. The deeper ones are sticky, so put a blocker at Balc. The enemy then spawns behind P4, far from the hill.
- Watch the front. Breakers hop up the front, and good players look up into the hill from the Nest. Play the pillar and get a trophy down.
P4: get there alive
- Block from 18. The back spawns sit behind P4. Block them from the 18-wheeler head glitch.
- Put a player in Con. That blocks both front spawns, so the enemy spawns out at back Zig.
P5: win the middle
- Mid control first. Then the enemy has to break through Zig or go up top. If you push past the 50, someone has to block your side's spawn.
- A pro setup. One blocks from the back steps behind Ring and P4. One on P1 owns Long and Zig. One plays the bottom P3 doors and one the top Window.

Exposure Search sites
Where A and B are
A is just east of the Nest, between the green-side Short, Zig and Dirt (bottom A). B is at the east end of P3 Solar, with B Boxes just north of it. Attackers start in the west and defenders in the east, so both sites sit on the defenders' half.
The opening
On attack, jump on the box by your spawn, wall bounce up to the railing, then wall bounce off Ring. You'll see Zig, low Dirt, Window and part of Long. With no nade delay under CDL rules, learn the Zig nade: from the stairs, throw between the two buildings. Players pushed off Zig go to Window, so follow it with a Window nade.
Plants and B
- A plant. Plant away from the top Window, ideally for back Dirt, so a teammate can jump-peek the bomb.
- B defense. The B Boxes are a head glitch onto their Top Solar that attackers don't expect. Pushing B? Nade the boxes first.
- After a B plant. Sit where you see the cross to their spawn and Top Plat. With a teammate on Tank, you've cut off the map.
Bomb timers and defuse math are in SnD tips.
How RankKD helps: RankKD shows where you died first in each Exposure SnD round, on a death heatmap grouped by callout.
Exposure Overload
The goals
You score at the two goals near the enemy start spawn, and teams switch sides at halftime. Each end has a B goal to the north and an A goal to the south, lettered in game. In the west, B is between Tarp and Outer and A is below Blue Balc. The east end mirrors it: B past B Boxes and A below Green Balc. The device spawns at P1 first, then P2, then P5.
Overload tips
- Rotate early. Once the enemy secures the P1 device, stop chasing kills. Set up for the P2 device.
- Attack the north goals. The south routes are open and easy to read. A north goal can be hit through Outer, Inner or over the solar panels, so defenders can't watch it all. Most points get scored there.
- Win two waves. A four-down at the 50 usually isn't enough on Exposure. Push to their 25, win a second wave, then score.
More in the Overload guide.
How RankKD maps your deaths on Exposure
Those are the mistakes Exposure punishes. RankKD shows you which ones you're making.
RankKD records every match on its own, so there's nothing to press. After the match, it reviews the footage and puts every kill and death on the timeline. On Exposure, that gives you:
- A death heatmap by callout. Your deaths grouped into named areas of the map, so "I keep dying on P3" becomes a specific spot you can fix.
- Spawn-flip deaths in Hardpoint. The deaths that came right after a spawn flip, hill by hill.
- Rotation timing. Whether you left for the next hill too early or too late.
- Early deaths in SnD. First deaths of a round, and deaths early in a round, called out round by round.
- Death discipline. Deaths while sprinting, reloading or re-peeking without info, fights you took while already hurt, and deaths right after your own kill.
- Receipts. After each match, RankKD writes a coach's note. Every mistake in it links to the exact moment in the video, with your mouse, keyboard or controller inputs on screen.
- Map stats. How you do on each map and mode, and your worst map and why, compared with your rank and the rank above.
Example (illustrative, not real data): say your rotation timing shows you dying on the way from P3 to P4. That's the classic Exposure mistake. P4 is across the map, and a death on the way spawns you back at the old hill. Each of those deaths links to its clip.
RankKD analyzes your match after it ends, never while you play. No overlays, no assists, no live info, no mods and no in-game presence (read the full disclosure). RankKD supports Black Ops 7 and Modern Warfare 4 when it launches, including MW4 Ranked Play from the day it goes live. More on RankKD: how it works, VOD review, Call of Duty coaching and how to VOD review CoD.
RankKD runs on Windows PC. It shows you where and why you die on Exposure, after the match and never while you play. No overlays, no assists, no live info. Download RankKD. Want to climb? Read how BO7 Ranked SR works and how to stop being hardstuck in BO7 Ranked.
